Popular Girl Scout magazine and munchies program returns
With football season here and the holidays fast approaching, local Girl Scouts have just the right treat. Girl Scouts across Western New York will increase their financial literacy and use digital platforms to engage customers to purchase candy and nut products along with magazines Oct. 1 through Nov. 10.
The community can support a local Girl Scout when they stock up on popular items such as: Dark Chocolate Mint Penguins, Dulce de Leche Owls, English Butter Toffee, Peanut Butter Bears, Dark Chocolate Caramel Caps with Sea Salt, Chocolate Covered Raisins, fat free Fruit Slices, and new items like, Almond Butter Cups and Buffalo Ranch Pretzel Mix.

www.gswny.org. Prices range from $6 to $10. For a nonedible treat, Girl Scouts offer more than 1,000 magazine subscription options. This is a way to purchase new titles, or renew favorite magazines, all while supporting local Girl Scouts.
Girls are able to use a digital database to track their orders and send out electronic emails to their customers. This friends and family program teaches girls five essential skills: goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills and business ethics. Girls also learn the benefits of working together as a team, as well as earning money to support their activities throughout the year.
Customers can also elect to help the local military. Through the magazine and munchies project share program, customers can choose to purchase magazines and/or munchies to benefit local military personnel and veterans.
Whether girls plan to use their earned money to go camping, help in their community, or take a trip, the Girl Scout fall product program provides girls with platforms to build their leadership skills. It is also a fun way for girls of all ages to learn by doing, and develop skills that will last a lifetime.
