Only bobblehead commemorating Bills historic 18-year NFL Playoff drought ending now available exclusively from National Bobblehead HOF and Museum
Friday morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed, limited-edition bobblehead commemorating the Buffalo Bills NFL Playoff drought coming to an end in 2017.
The Bills previously had the longest active playoff drought among the four major professional North American sports leagues. On Dec. 31, the final week of the regular season, the Bills defeated the Dolphins 22-16, but they needed the Cincinnati Bengals to upset the Baltimore Ravens in order to make the playoffs. Down by four with fourth-and-12, Bengals' quarterback Andy Dalton fired a 49-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd with just 44 seconds left to beat the Ravens and send the Bills to the playoffs for the first time since 1999.
The bobbleheads, which are individually numbered to only 1,000, are $40 each plus a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order. The initial production run of 216 bobbleheads are in stock now, and the remaining bobbleheads will be produced and made available for pre-order with December delivery if the initial production run of bobbleheads sells out.
The officially licensed bobblehead, which is the only one commemorating the end of the Bills' playoff drought, were produced exclusively for the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum by FOCO.
The bobblehead features the Bills' mascot, Billy Buffalo, standing on a newspaper-style base with the headline "The Drought is Over! Bills Earn First Postseason Bid Since 1999!"
"The Bills' NFL Playoff drought coming to an end was one of the best stories of the 2017 NFL season, especially given the dramatic fashion that led to the playoff berth," said Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. "We thought this bobblehead would be the perfect way for Bills' fans to celebrate the end of the drought and the start of a new era. Hopefully for Bills' fans, the next playoff-related bobbleheads will include Super Bowl rings!"
