The Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday announced the 11th annual Buffalo Sabres Foundation Golf Tournament, presented by J.W. Danforth, will take place Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Wanakah Country Club in Hamburg. Registration for the tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
For the 11th consecutive year, fans will have an opportunity to play a round of golf with a Sabres player, coach, alumnus or broadcast personality. Each foursome that registers for the event will be joined by a celebrity golfer for an 18-hole scramble-format round of golf. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all golfers on the course, with a cocktail party following the tournament. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.
New this year, golfers will have an opportunity to participate in an exclusive raffle following their round. Prizes will include Sabres experiences, including a trip with the team, player meet-and-greets and a luxury suite for a game, as well as autographed Sabres merchandise, and tickets. Every participant in the raffle is guaranteed a prize. Foursomes will have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets before the tournament for a cost of $200 per group, and tickets will also be available to purchase during the event for $50 per ticket.
