N-W Hockey holding annual golf tournament

Proceeds benefit Falcons hockey program

On Sunday, June 10, the Niagara-Wheatfield High School hockey team will host its annual golf tournament at Willowbrook Golf Course, 4200 Lake Ave., Lockport.
Registration for the tournament begins at 11 a.m., a lunch will follow at 11:45 a.m. Following lunch, there will be a shot gun start (scramble format) at 1:15 p.m. and after the round of golf, dinner, Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle will begin at 5 p.m. Players will also receive a small bucket of driving range balls for practice before the round.
Awards will be given out for the lowest score, a putting contest and on certain holes, closest to the pin, longest drive and Vegas hole. Prizes value over $2,500.
Participation is limited and attendees must pre-register. One foursome costs $450 (around $112.50 per person). To sponsor a hole, a corporate sign costs $150 and a dinner ticket costs $25 to those just attending the post golf events. Falcons assistant coach Ryan Coyne said the tournament is still looking for foursomes, as well as sponsors.
