New Delaware Avenue location reflects agency's growth in region
Tipping Point Communications, a certified woman-owned marketing communications agency, has named Melissa Yacuzzo as the firm's first director of its new Buffalo office, which will officially open later this month.
In her new role, Yacuzzo will apply more than two decades of experience as a skilled problem-solver, helping clients reach and surpass their marketing goals.
"Melissa's collaborative approach elevates everyone around her - she is a tremendous asset to our organization as we focus on continuing our regional growth," said Michelle Ashby, founder and CEO of Tipping Point Communications. "Her expertise in media strategy and relationship-building is an ideal combination for our innovative new facility in Buffalo."
Yacuzzo joined the firm in 2014 as a senior account supervisor, responsible for media strategy, implementing integrated marketing campaigns, and building and maintaining client relationships.
Founded in 2005 in Rochester, Tipping Point Communications first became a familiar name in the Buffalo Niagara Region when the agency managed the media strategy and execution for the Western New York Tobacco Free Programs through a grant managed by Roswell Park. In 2016, Tipping Point Communications opened its first office in the region in the Thomas R. Beecher Innovation Center. Relocating to downtown Buffalo at 737 Delaware Ave., the agency's new, 3,500-square-foot office will feature state-of-the-art technology, including facilities for focus groups and innovative learning opportunities for clients.
Tipping Point Communications clients in the surrounding area include Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning, the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park, the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, Admar, Anchor Bar Distributing Co., Connors & Ferris L.L.P., and Darien Lake Theme Park and Resort.
An avid runner, Yacuzzo grew up in Canandaigua, Ontario County, and now lives with her husband and son in LeRoy, Genesee County. Her background includes more than 20 years in account management, overseeing comprehensive digital campaigns at DAC Group and research in consumer-packaged goods at Datamonitor. Previously, she led extensive international and domestic market and product research for companies, including Lays, Philip Morris and Kimberly-Clark.
"This is an exciting opportunity for Melissa as she is a skilled problem-solver with a commitment to exceptional customer service," said Barbara Pierce, president of Tipping Point Communications. "As we continue to expand our regional footprint, I am looking forward to Melissa's leadership guiding the Buffalo team."
