Two-week event presented by Farmers Insurance, Thank America's Teachers
Class is in session when the "Jeopardy!" Teachers Tournament kicks off Monday, May 7 (7:30 p.m., WIVB-TV Channel 4). The two-week event, presented by Farmers Insurance in affiliation with the insurer group's Thank America's Teachers program, features 15 of the country's sharpest educators competing for the $100,000 grand prize and a spot in the next edition of the Tournament of Champions.
Additionally, Farmers Insurance, through its Thank America's Teachers program, will present each of the contestants with a $2,500 educational grant to fund classroom projects. In 2018, Farmers Insurance will award teachers more than $1 million in grants, supporting proposals that help make a difference in the lives of students across the country. Through Thank America's Teachers, Farmers will give away more than $1,000,000 to educators in 2018 - and the public will help determine who receives the grants at www.ThankAmericasTeachers.com. Farmers will award 180 grants valued at $2,500 throughout the year, in addition to the five $100,000 Dream Big Teacher Challenge grants, awarded at the end of this year.
