Celebration, showcase of video games & board games created by members of Western New York community
Buffalo Game Space has announced Buffalo Game Expo (BGX) 2018, the third official showcase of games created in and around Western New York, will take place Saturday, June 9.
Formerly known as the BGS Showcase, BGX aims to highlight the work done by the talented local community of artists, designers, musicians and programmers who reside in Buffalo and the surrounding areas. Attendees will be able to play games ranging from early prototypes to released titles, meet and chat with the creators, and even win copies of games at the event to take home to play.
"We're very proud of the community of game makers that has grown in Buffalo these last few years," said Chris Langford, vice president of the board of directors at BGS. "Most of our events are focused on helping creators learn new skills or network, but BGX is where we get to offer them the chance to show Western New York at large what sort of things are being made right in their backyard."
Additionally, BGS is now accepting submissions for games to be featured at BGX. If you have a game (or games) to showcase at the event, visit
