Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest will start their first full season together on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" the week of Sept. 5-8, and they're kicking it off by taking the concept of "live" to new heights with "Live is LIVE Week."
Since its debut, the "Live" franchise has been heralded for its fresh, unscripted, spontaneous format, and, for the first time in the history of the program, the "Live" team is opening a window for fans to have an exclusive, live behind-the-scenes look at the show.
On Sept. 5, the week will begin with a special "Facebook Live" pre-show starting at 8:30 a.m. EDT, showcasing everything that goes on in the build-up to the moment when Kelly and Ryan walk onto the set.
On Sept. 6, it'll be another first, as the show stays live on Facebook throughout the entire broadcast hour, giving at-home viewers the chance to experience all of the in-studio and backstage fun and excitement that take place during production of the show.
"Live is LIVE Week" continues Thursday, Sept. 7, when Kelly hosts her own Instagram Live "after show," welcoming viewers to tag along and experience her post-"Live with Kelly and Ryan" morning after she leaves the set. And on Friday, Sept. 8, Ryan's "after show" on Instagram Live will take viewers with him as he heads out of the studio to the broadcast of his "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" radio show.
