Artpark & Company and LB Mason Fine Art have once again partnered with Philip Burke to showcase the vibrant and unique artwork he creates and has displayed around the world. As part of select "Tuesdays in the Park" and "Coors Light" concerts, the Buffalo-born artist is painting headline performers in his own unique style.
His interpretations of rock 'n' roll icons have caught the attention of music fans in the park. Burke paints outdoor musical artists as they perform on stage just feet away. Once the "live painting" is completed, a full-size, signed and embellished canvas reproduction is raffled off to one lucky fan.
So far this season, Burke has painted Randy Bachman and Brian Setzer. Next up for the Vanity Fair, Vogue and Rolling Stone contributor is Loverboy (July 11), Ziggy Marley (July 19), Shirley Manson of Garbage (July 25) and George Thorogood (Aug. 1).
Raffle tickets are $5. Purchase one at the merch tent or from Artpark volunteers.
Proceeds from the raffle benefit Artpark's Rock Workshop program for area teen musicians.
