8 consecutive nights of primetime coverage begins Sunday on NBCSN with continuing coverage on NBC

NBC Olympics presents 15.5 hours of coverage of the U.S. Olympic swimming trials from CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska, including eight consecutive nights in primetime. It begins this Sunday, June 26 (6 p.m. ET), on NBCSN, and continues at 8 p.m. on NBC.

Six nights of primetime coverage will air at 8 p.m. throughout the week on NBC, with primetime coverage on Saturday, July 2, airing live at 8 p.m. on NBCSN. Daily telecasts of the qualifying heats will air on NBCSN throughout the competition. Coverage culminates Sunday, July 3, with a two-hour show combining the swimming and track and field trials at 7 p.m. on NBC.

NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app will livestream all the action, and present supplemental digital-only coverage daily at 11 a.m. from Sunday, June 26, through Saturday, July 2.

Headlining the men's field is Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time with 22 Olympic medals, and 11-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte. At the 2015 U.S. National Championships, Phelps won gold medals in the 100m butterfly, 200m butterfly and the 200m individual medley, while Lochte took home gold in the 200m medley, 4-by-100m medley and 4-by-100m mixed freestyle. Four-time Olympic medalist Nathan Adrian and six-time Olympic medalist Matt Grevers will each look to compete in their third Olympic Games.

Highlighting the women's field are Missy Franklin, who won four gold and five total medals in her Olympic debut in London, and nine-time world champion Katie Ledecky. Ledecky looks to add to her medal count in Rio after stunning the field by winning gold in the 800m free in 2012 at the age of 15. At the 2015 World Championships, she won five gold medals and broke three world records. Natalie Coughlin, a 12-time Olympic medalist, and Dana Vollmer, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, will also compete for spots on the Olympic team.

In all events excluding the men's and women's 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle, the top two swimmers in the event make the Rio team. For the 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle, the top six athletes make the Olympic team.

NBC Olympics' swimming commentary team is led by longtime NBC golf commentator Dan Hicks (play-by-play), three-time U.S. Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines (analyst), and NBC's "Sunday Night Football" sideline reporter Michele Tafoya (reporter).

NBC Olympics presents primetime coverage of the 2016 U.S. Olympic trials during an unprecedented 20 of 23 nights across NBC and NBCSN. The full schedule for this week's coverage of the trials, which also includes diving and men's gymnastics, can be found HERE.
