Bills open season in Baltimore; Set to face Jets in primetime home opener

The Buffalo Bills have announced the team's 2016 schedule. The 2016 schedule release is presented by Ellicott Hotels, the official hotel partner of the Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo will open its 2016 regular season schedule on the road when the Bills travel to Baltimore to square off with the Ravens.

Primetime will be returning to Buffalo for the first time since 2012 when the Bills host the New York Jets in the team's Week 2 home opener on "Thursday Night Football." This year marks the first time since the 2000 season the Bills home opener has been slated as a primetime matchup.

The Bills are also scheduled to appear in primetime in Week 9, a "Monday Night Football" showdown in Seattle with the Seahawks. With the team also appearing in two primetime matchups in 2015, this marks the first time the Bills have been slated for multiple primetime contests in back-to-back seasons since 1996-97.

The Bills also announced the dates and times of three of their preseason games. Buffalo will open the preseason at home for back-to-back games with the Indianapolis Colts and New York Giants. Buffalo will host Indianapolis at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, to kick off preseason action. The Bills will then host the New York Giants at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. The game will mark the team's 16th annual "Kids Game," and is presented by Independent Health.

Buffalo will close out the preseason at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, in Detroit against the Lions. The date and time of the team's Week 3 matchup is still to be determined.
