Sabres recall goaltender Ullmark

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team recalled goaltender Linus Ullmark from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Ullmark (age 22, 6'4", 212 pounds), who made his NHL debut with the Sabres in October, has appeared in 19 games for the team in 2015-16, posting a 7-10-2 record with a .915 save percentage and a 2.58 goals-against average.

In his first North American professional season, the native of Lugnvik, Sweden, shares the Americans' team lead with 26 AHL appearances and has recorded a 10-14-0 record with a .902 save percentage and a 3.37 GAA.

The Sabres selected Ullmark in the sixth round (163rd overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft. Prior to his transition to North America this season, he spent parts of four seasons with MODO of the Swedish Hockey League, earning the Honken Trophy as the Swedish Goaltender of the Year in 2013-14 and won a bronze medal with Sweden at the 2014 World Championship in Belarus.
