Thursday night on "American Idol," the top six finalists were announced: MacKenzie Bourg, Trent Harmon, Tristan McIntosh, Dalton Rapattoni, La'Porsha Renae and Sonika Vaid. Host Ryan Seacrest revealed Lee Jean, Sonika and Avalon Young were the three finalists who received the fewest votes. Judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban determined Sonika would be saved, leaving Lee and Avalon to be eliminated.

Next week, Thursday, March 17 (8-10 p.m. live ET), Grammy Award nominee and "American Idol" alum Adam Lambert will return for a final performance.
