2016 Honda NHL All-Star Game from Nashville highlights comprehensive All-Star Weekend coverage on NBCSN

2016 NHL All-Star Game on NBCSN Sunday at 4:30 p.m. features new 3-on-3 format; NHL All-Stars and country music performances headline "NHL All-Star Friday Night: Live in Music City" Friday at 8 p.m.; NHL Skills Competition Saturday at 7 p.m.

NBC Sports presents comprehensive 2016 Honda NHL All-Star coverage this weekend from Nashville, culminating with the 3-on-3 NHL All-Star Game at 5 p.m. ET Sunday on NBCSN. Three-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play commentator Mike "Doc" Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member and analyst Eddie Olczyk, Emmy Award-winning "Inside-the-Glass" analyst Pierre McGuire, and 500-goal scorer Jeremy Roenick call the back-and-forth action from Bridgestone Arena.

This week's coverage features Alex Ovechkin and the league-leading Washington Capitals against Claude Giroux and the Philadelphia Flyers on "Wednesday Night Rivalry" at 8 p.m. on NBCSN, followed by a Wednesday nightcap matchup between Matt Duchene and the Colorado Avalanche and Jonathan Quick and the Los Angeles Kings at 10:30 p.m.

NBCSN also presents a Tuesday night doubleheader, beginning at 7:30 p.m. tonight, when Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks visit Justin Faulk and the Carolina Hurricanes, followed by Avalanche-Sharks at 10 p.m.

Liam McHugh and Kathryn Tappen will combine to anchor this week's studio coverage, alongside analysts and former players Mike Milbury, Keith Jones, Roenick and Brian Boucher. NHL insider Darren Dreger will join NBCSN's "Wednesday Night Rivalry" coverage to provide the latest in-depth news from around the league.

2016 NHL All-Star Coverage on NBCSN

The Honda NHL All-Star Game will feature a new 3-on-3 divisional format this year, inspired by this year's new 3-on-3 overtime format, with a prize pool of $1 million to be paid to the winning team. Pre-game coverage begins at 4:30 p.m. Sunday on NBCSN, hosted by McHugh, alongside analysts Milbury, Jones and Roenick.

NBCSN's NHL All-Star coverage begins Friday night at 7:30 p.m. with a special NHL Top 10 - 3-on-3 edition, as McHugh, Milbury and Jones count down the best 3-on-3 moments of the 2015-16 NHL regular season.

Friday night's coverage moves to Nashville at 8 p.m. with "NHL All-Star Friday Night: Live in Music City." Hosted by NBCSN's Kathryn Tappen and Kimberly Perry, lead singer of Grammy Award and CMA Award-winning group The Band Perry, the primetime special will feature top NHL stars, as well as performances from Aaron Lewis, Kristian Bush, Big & Rich, John Hiatt and Lee Brice from the outdoor Honda Stage at Bridgestone Winter Park in the heart of downtown Nashville.

Coverage continues on Saturday night at 7 p.m. with the NHL Skills Competition. Each of the 44 All-Stars will compete in at least one of the following skill-based contests: Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater, Honda NHL Breakaway Challenge, DraftKings NHL Accuracy Shooting, Gatorade NHL Skills Challenge Relay, AMP Energy NHL Hardest Shot, and Discover NHL Shootout. Kenny Albert (play-by-play), Olczyk, McGuire and Roenick will call the NHL Skills Competition.
