"Toast of the Town," an annual fundraiser for Niagara University's College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Twentieth Century Club of Buffalo, 595 Delaware Ave.

It will mark the final "Toast of the Town" during which Dr. Gary Praetzel will attend as dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Praetzel plans to retire at the end of the current academic year. He has been affiliated with Niagara University since 1978.

Attendees will be treated to wine, hors d'oeuvres and tours of the historic, E.B. Green-designed building upon entering the event. The remainder of the evening will include a silent auction, a four-course dinner and wine pairing.

All hors d'oeuvres will be prepared and served by students in the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Tickets for the event are $150 per person or $1,000 for a table of eight.

Niagara University's College of Hospitality and Tourism Management was the first in the world to offer a bachelor's degree in tourism, and is a founding member of the Hotel Schools of Distinction - a global network of premier higher-ed institutions.
