"American Idol Live!" tour kicks off this summer
In a brand-new "American Idol" element introduced earlier this month, "Idol" and AT&T teamed up to send an 11th singer on the "American Idol Live!" tour this summer. Last week, Aubrey Cleland and Charlie Askew, the sixth runner-up girl and guy finalists, performed in a sing-off during Thursday's results show. After millions of online submissions were tallied from www.americanidol.com and the "American Idol" app, it was revealed Wednesday night that Aubrey was the winner of the AT&T "American Idol Live!" tour fan save and will join the top 10 finalists when the official tour begins this summer.
The "American Idol Live!" tour is an opportunity for fans to see the season 12 "Idol" finalists in concert. For more information, visit www.americanidol.com.
Tune in Thursday (8 p.m.) to the live results show to find out which top nine finalist is sent home. In addition, season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez and R&B recording artist Ne-Yo will perform Sanchez's new single, "Tonight," and season 10 top six finalist Casey Abrams will perform the Beatles classic, "I Saw Her Standing There."
