North Tonawanda Mayor Robert G. Ortt announced at a press conference this week the plans for a concert on Sunday, July 15, at Gratwick Riverside Park. The show will begin at 4 p.m.

Representatives of headline sponsor Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union and several other high-level North Tonawanda officials joined Ortt in announcing Buckcherry with Fuel will be the featured bands performing at what Ortt said is one of the most beautiful venues along the Niagara River.

The concert will be free for everyone attending; however, there will be a $5 charge for parking at the park. Food and beverage will be sold at the venue, and no food, backpacks, or coolers will be permitted at the park for this event.

Kathy Paradowski of Special Vending Inc. is the promoter for this concert.

Labatt's, along with other sponsors, will also be participating in this summer event.

Ortt stated, "When I took office, I pledged to work to bring back major bands and musical acts to North Tonawanda. This show will bring thousands of people to North Tonawanda and showcase one of the most beautiful views of the Niagara River."

Buckcherry is an American rock band from Los Angeles. They formed in 1995. The band released five albums since its initial album, "Buckcherry," was released in 1999. The band is currently writing a sixth album, which is due for release in 2012.

Fuel has sold more than 3.5 million albums in the U.S. and scored a trio of top 5 singles. The band is primed to pick up where it left off with its latest release, "Angels And Devils," with new band members in tow to help add to an already formidable list of achievements.
