Ronnie Escalante, Luciana Scarabello, Ross Bennett, Sarah Parrott and Nikki Poulos Inspired the Retailers in last night's episode of "Fashion Star"
Last night on NBC's "Fashion Star," the remaining designers were faced with the task of working in pairs and using live models in a blank window space to feature their cohesive collections. Five of the designers' garments were purchased by three of America's top retailers: Macy's, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue. Celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos helped guide Ronnie Escalante, Luciana Scarabello, Ross Bennett, Sarah Parrott and Nikki Poulos in constructing their winning creations, which are available online and in stores now.
The series, hosted and executive produced by Elle Macpherson, continues the search for America's "Fashion Star" in next week's episode airing Tuesday, April 17 (10 p.m.), when the designers are challenged to expand their brands by creating clothes outside of their comfort zones.

Despite the creative winning designs, some of the garments left the retailers and celebrity mentors looking for more innovation. Orly Shani disappointed the retailers with her basic shorts, while Edmond Newton's last minute switch to menswear didn't pay off. Celebrity mentors Simpson, Richie and Varvatos saved Chicago designer Barbara Bates. In the end, Newton was eliminated from the competition.
