Eclectic folk and bluegrass band Fynian's Wake will perform in Youngstown at The Ontario House (more commonly known as the Stone Jug, on Main Street) on Friday, Feb. 25, at 9 p.m.

Singer/guitarist Zack Joseph of Youngstown graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 2009. Formerly a cellist in the Lew-Port orchestra, he currently studies music business at SUNY Fredonia.

Fiddler for the group, Chelsea Hadden, has been touring Scotland for the past several years. She studied fiddle under James Alexander and spent her summers playing in fiddle festivals.

Hadden has had the privilege of playing with professional fiddle players Natalie McMaster, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason. She is currently studying violin/viola performance at Fredonia with fellow bandmate Joseph.

Playing the stand-up bass for the group is Buffalo native Chris Kapuscik, a music business major at Fredonia.

Performing in a blend between folk and bluegrass, the band plays songs by Johnny Cash, Elvis and Hank Williams, among others.

The band's music can be heard online at http://fynianswake.bandcamp.com/.
