Niagara University announces the concert with the rock band O.A.R. (Of A Revolution), which was scheduled for Nov. 18, has been cancelled. In its place, the university's Student Government Association has secured a Nov. 8 date with the critically acclaimed band Jack's Mannequin.

The concert will take place at 8 p.m. in Niagara University's Kiernan Center.

Jack's Mannequin is an alternative rock band from Orange County, Calif. Their debut album, "Everything in Transit" (2005), includes hit songs such as "The Mixed Tape" and "Dark Blue." Following its recording, lead singer Andrew McMahon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and spent the following months in treatment. During this time, the documentary "Dear Jack" was filmed and the Dear Jack Foundation was created in an effort to raise money and awareness for cancer research. In 2008, the band released its second studio album, "The Glass Passenger," to critical acclaim.

Tickets are $20 for the general public and go on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets (1-800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com), including Dwyer Arena, on Oct. 23.
