Buffalo Brewing Company and The Buffalo History Museum are announcing the signature 1862 Cream Ale beer will be available to purchase for a limited time in canned form to be enjoyed at home.

Buffalo Brewing Company’s 1862 Cream Ale debuted at the brewery’s tasting room and beer garden in the summer of 2019 and exclusively at The Buffalo History Museum’s events. Starting on Thursday, May 21, 16-ounce cans will be available for purchase in four-packs for $12 including tax and deposit. A case is $75 including tax and deposit – plus a family membership to the museum.

With every purchase, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Buffalo History Museum to support operations and the “Chronicling COVID-19” initiative, a recently launched effort to collect and safekeep the community’s experiences during the pandemic. The first 10 sales of beer will include a museum goodie bag and free passes upon reopening.

“We are very excited to finally release our 1862 Cream Ale in cans and we hope it draws awareness to The Buffalo History Museum and its mission, preserving the history of Buffalo and WNY!” said co-founders of Buffalo Brewing Company, Heather and John Domres Jr.

The canned 1862 Cream Ale will be available for purchase from Buffalo Brewing Company through Saturday, May 23, or as supplies last. Purchases can be made at Buffalo Brewing Company’s location at 314 Myrtle Ave., with a no contact drive-through. Open hours are 3-6 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
