Patrick Mahomes & high-scoring Chiefs host Jacoby Brissett & Colts on NBC's 'Sunday Night Football'

Coverage begins with ‘Football Night in America’ at 7 p.m.

Patrick Mahomes and the high-scoring Kansas City Chiefs (3-0) host Jacoby Brissett and the Indianapolis Colts (2-2) in an AFC playoff rematch this weekend on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.” Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBC, followed by kickoff at 8:20 p.m. from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Calling Colts-Chiefs is Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 34th season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and three-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya. Three-time Super Bowl referee and “SNF” rules analyst Terry McAulay joins Michaels and Collinsworth in the booth.

Led by a high-powered offense, the unbeaten Chiefs are tied for first in the NFL in points per game (33.8) and rank second in the NFL in yards per game (474.8). Mahomes, last year’s NFL MVP, leads the NFL with 1,510 passing yards and is tied for first with 10 touchdowns. The team’s offense is also led by TE Travis Kelce and WR Sammy Watkins, who are ranked second and third in receiving yards in the AFC, respectively, with 369 and 365 yards.

Under the new starting QB Brissett, the Colts look to rebound from a 31-24 loss to the Oakland Raiders last week. Brissett, who has started all four games for the Colts this season after Andrew Luck’s retirement, has thrown for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns. The team’s offense also features Marlon Mack, the AFC’s third rusher (338 yards), and T.Y. Hilton, who is expected to return from injury this weekend and leads the team in receiving yards (195) and touchdowns (four).

The two teams last met in January in the 2018 AFC Divisional Playoffs. The Chiefs won 31-13 and advanced to the AFC Championship Game. The Colts finished the 2018 season as one of only three teams in NFL history to start the season 1-5 and make the playoffs.

Mike Tirico will host “Football Night in America” at 7 p.m., alongside Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison, “NFL Insider” Mike Florio and former NFL quarterback Chris Simms. Liam McHugh will co-host “Football Night in America” on-site from Arrowhead Stadium.
