Landmark event to be held in historic St. Mary RC Church

The Orleans Renaissance Group Inc. recently announced the return of Ronan Tynan.

ORG President Chris Busch said, “Once again, the great tenor will perform within the soaring beauty of St. Mary’s Church in what will be another landmark concert event for Medina.”

An Irish tenor, recording artist, physician and champion disabled athlete, Tynan moves audiences in a unique manner. Called the “burly tenor with a big, silvery voice” by Variety, Tynan sings a repertoire that is diverse as it is entertaining.

Accompanied by his longtime pianist Bill Lewis, Tynan creates a unique evening of music entertainment. He will bring his show to Medina at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. Doors will open at 7 p.m. at 211 Eagle St.

Tynan has performed at historic events around the world. His memorable renditions of “God Bless America” have been heard at the World Series, The Belmont Stakes, and other momentous events. Tynan has appeared in concert halls across the U.S. and internationally. He is a Sony recording artist who has released more than 10 titles, four of which have achieved Platinum status. Additionally, between 1981-84, Tynan amassed 18 gold medals and 14 world records while participating in the Paralympics.

ORG previously hosted Tynan at St. Mary’s Church.

“Dr. Tynan absolutely electrified a sold-out, capacity audience in 2016,” Busch said. “People came from as far away as California to see him perform here. Experiencing one of the world’s great tenors in the incredible setting of St. Mary’s sanctuary was absolutely breathtaking. This is a must-see concert event and will sell out very quickly.”

General admission tickets are on sale now and available online at www.medinaalive.com.
