New physicians now accepting patients at Niagara Falls Memorial primary care sites

Several new physicians have joined the medical staff at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and are now accepting new patients.

•Sandra D. Yale, D.O., F.A.A.P., has joined Memorial’s Grand Island Family Practice Center. An experienced family medicine practitioner, Yale most recently served as medical director of the residency continuity clinic and assistant director of the osteopathic family medicine residency program at Eastern Niagara Health System.

A graduate of Syracuse University, the University at Buffalo and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, she is highly regarded both as a family medicine practitioner and residency program preceptor

•Pranay Chander, D.O., is seeing patients at Memorial’s Summit Family Health Center (suites 200 and 500) in Wheatfield. Chander earned his bachelor’s degree at McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario) and completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Altoona.

He is a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, the national osteopathic medicine honor society.

•Adeel Amir, D.O., is accepting new patients at Memorial’s North Tonawanda Primary Care Center. Amir is a graduate of the University of Toronto and earned his doctorate at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s St. Margaret Hospital. While at UPMC, Amir performed research on diabetes education/glycemic control and on reducing delirium in elderly patients during hospitalization.

•Archana Sonig, M.B.B.S., is providing obstetric and gynecologic care at Memorial’s OB/GYN Center. A former resident surgeon in gynecologic oncology at the Kidwal Memorial Institute of Oncology in Bengaluru, India, Sonig is a graduate of the Kasturba Medical College and the Rabindranath Tagore Medical College. She completed her OB/GYN residency at UB.

Sonig will join doctors Renee Baughman, Donna Feldman, Hannah Bailey and Shrutika Vasudeva, and family nurse practitioner Erin DeMarco at the OB/GYN Center. Memorial offers OB/GYN services at both its 10th Street campus and the Summit Healthplex.
