Award-winning Native American singer/songwriter Darryl Tonemah will perform a free, acoustic concert at the Hennepin Park Gazebo (Center and North Fourth streets) in Lewiston at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22.
Tonemah will be accompanied by Anishinaabe folk singer Wayne Potts.
These days, Tonemah is storming the national music scene with his own style of Native American rock. Yet, the artist is known as much for his storytelling as he is for his music.
Tonemah has surrounded himself with top Native American musicians from around the country and has performed along side Hootie & the Blowfish, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Foreigner and Johnny Lang.
"Lewiston is my hometown, and I love playing at the gazebo,” Tonemah said. “It has such a laidback atmosphere and I'm excited to introduce the community to Wayne Potts."
