Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Executive Director Daniel Hart announced Wendy Diina was promoted to the senior staff leadership team, with the new title of director of special projects and associate director of development. As such, she will add strategic planning and project management for new organizational initiatives to her portfolio of fundraising responsibilities, where she will continue to provide leadership and management of a team of direct reports working with staff, trustees and volunteers to ensure the success of the BPO’s annual fund campaign, corporate and foundation relations and government relations.

“We are very happy to add Wendy our leadership team, as she has proven time and time again for the past nine years her dedication and commitment to the BPO’s mission, and has consistently brought creativity and positive energy to a myriad of projects,” Hart said.

Diina started with the BPO in 2010 after running the JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition, and after a distinguished tenure at WNED as director of special events. She is a graduate of Leadership Buffalo who received an undergraduate degree in communications from SUNY Fredonia and a master’s degree in arts management from University at Buffalo.
