Physician assistants join Memorial primary care team

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center recently welcomed two physician assistants to its growing team of primary care providers. Both are now seeing patients at the Niagara Falls Memorial Primary Care Center in the Golisano Center for Community Health, 533 10th St.
Michelle Christie, P.A.-C, is a graduate of Canisius College and Daemen College, where she was awarded a Master of Science in physician assistant studies. She was previously a surgical first assist/physician assistant with the Olean Medical Group.
Christie holds certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Western New York Physician Assistant Association.
Shannon Coleman, P.A., graduated from Niagara County Community College, the University at Buffalo and Daemen College, where she earned a Master of Science in physician assistant studies.
Coleman is a state-certified firefighter and has been an emergency medical technician since 2008. A former member of Lewiston Fire Co. No. 1, she now serves with Miller Hose Co., Newfane.
