Olympic Channel surrounds Friday's coverage with 2 Usain Bolt specials featuring his World Championship & Olympic wins
Usain Bolt, competing in the final meet of his illustrious career at the 2017 IAAF World Track & Field Championships in London, England, highlights this week's programming on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA, a partnership between the International Olympic Committee, the U.S. Olympic Committee, and NBCUniversal. An eight-time Olympic gold medalist, Bolt will run in the men's 100m opening heats this Friday, Aug. 4. Live coverage begins at 1:30 p.m. ET.
Olympic Channel will also present two Bolt specials hosted by NBC Sports Group's Mike Tirico this Friday. The first will feature all of Bolt's World Championship wins from 2009-15 at 7 p.m., while the second features all of his Olympic victories from 2008-16 at 10 p.m.
This week's Olympic Channel coverage also features FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships from Vienna, Austria, and FIVB World Grand Prix in Beijing, China.

IAAF World Track & Field Championships
Olympic Channel begins coverage of the 2017 IAAF World Track & Field Championships from London this Friday, Aug. 4, live at 1:30 p.m.
Bolt will first appear on Olympic Channel during its coverage on Friday when he runs in 100m opening heats. The men's 100m final will be televised Saturday, Aug. 5, on NBC, with encore presentations on NBCSN and Olympic Channel. More information on NBC Sports Group's coverage the 2017 IAAF World Track & Field Championships will be announced later this week.
Olympic Channel will surround the men's 100m featuring Bolt with two specials on Friday.
The U.S. squad is headlined by four reigning world champions and eight 2016 Olympic individual gold medalists. Returning to defend their 2015 individual world titles are six-time Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix in the women's 400m, three-time gold medalist Tianna Bartoletta in the women's long jump, Olympic silver medalist Joe Kovacs in the men's shot put, and two-time gold medalist Christian Taylor in the men's triple jump.
Team USA is also headlined by reigning Olympic champion Matthew Centrowitz in the men's 1500m, three-time Olympic medalist Kerron Clement in the men's 400m hurdles, and three-time Olympic gold medalist LaShawn Merritt in the men's 400m.
Olympic gold medalists from the 2016 Rio Games who will compete in London for the U.S. also include Michelle Carter in the women's shot put; Jeff Henderson in the men's long jump; Dalilah Muhammad in the women's 400m hurdles; and Ryan Crouser in the men's shot put. 2012 Olympic women's pole vault gold medalist Jenn Suhr returns to London, while Taylor revisits the site of the first of his two Olympic golds.
Other international stars in action include two Rio 400m gold medalists both looking to complete the 200m-400m double: South African Wayde van Niekerk, and Shaunae Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas.

FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships
Olympic Channel continues coverage of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships from Vienna, Austria, this week. Tomorrow's coverage includes 2008 Olympian Nicole Branagh and Emily Day, fresh off her AVP Hermosa Beach victory, who replaces an injured Kerri Walsh Jennings. Also representing the U.S. are two-time Olympic medalist April Ross and 2016 Olympian Lauren Fendrick, who became the first team in the tournament to win their pool.
Five American teams will compete on the men's side, led by the pair of 2008 Olympic gold medalist Phil Dalhausser and 2016 Olympian Nick Lucena, as the American men look to claim a world title for the first time since 2007, when Dalhausser won with former partner Todd Rogers.
Coverage of the medal round matches begins this Thursday, Aug. 3 (10 a.m.).
