Only 10 spaces in the academy remain
Artpark & Company announced Wednesday that, thanks to additional support received, a 50 percent tuition discount and bus transportation are now offered for Artpark Theater Academy (July 10-Aug. 6). Academy enrollees living in the Niagara Falls and Buffalo areas now will have access to daily bus transportation to and from Artpark (schedule and bus stop locations to be determined) at no charge.

Due to donations raised at the Artpark Gala, tuition fees are now offered at a 50 percent discount, valid through June 19.
Only 10 spaces remain in the academy.
The discount not valid on previously registered students. The discounted tuition fee is $447.50 for four weeks of the academy (weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 10-Aug. 4, performance Aug. 6). Parents may register their children (ages 9-17, all levels of experience welcome) online at artpark.net or in person at the Artpark box office (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Saturday) at 450 S. Fourth St.
Auditions are set for "Fiddler on the Roof Jr." production by Artpark Theater Academy students. Auditions will be casting all roles, and there will be an interview process for those interested in non-performance roles (tech, design, management, etc.). Performers are asked to prepare a traditional musical theater song and to bring music, photo and resume. There will also be a dance and acting portion of the audition.
Those interested in non-performer roles are asked to prepare a portfolio of backstage theater experiences/resume, if available, and a photo. No prior experience is necessary to participate in the academy. Appointments are not required as this is an open call. Students will need to be present the entire time of the auditions (1-4 p.m.).

Artpark Theater Academy is suitable for ages 8-17 and runs July 10-Aug. 4 culminating with a performance of "Fiddler on the Roof Jr." on Aug. 6.
Artpark Theater Academy is directed by Paschal Frisina III, with choreography by Toni Dentico and design by Tatyana Wilds. Guest artists including Jon Lehrer (Lehrer Dance), Vincent O'Neil (Irish Classical Theatre Co.), Mitch Jarvis ("Yakov/Motel/Perchik" 2003 revival on Broadway) and Gregg Goldston (a student of Marcel Marceau, America's most renown mime). The program will include a rehearsal of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra at Artpark.
