Lawn mower race plans ongoing

A sure sign spring is here: planning is under way for this year's annual Father's Day Lawn Mower Race to benefit the Grand Island Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society.

The race committee met recently at Town Café. Clockwise, from left: Rick Smith, Floyd Doring, Kevin Cobello, Lisa Hodge, Becky Howell, Pete Marston, Mary Dunbar-Daluisio, Gary Roesch, Pete McMahon, Carol and Tom Miller. Another planning meeting will take place Tuesday, March 20, at Town Café on Grand Island Boulevard. Anyone who would like to help and become a member of the committee can attend the next meeting.
