The Niagara Index, the student newspaper at Niagara University, unveiled its annual list of "The 20 Most Intriguing Students on Campus" as the kickoff event to the college's annual "RidgeFest" celebration on Monday.

Newspaper editors and students working in the Campus Activities Office invited the "intriguing" students and faculty selected for the "20 Most Intriguing Professors" issue to a special reception held in the Lower Level Gallagher Center. Dr. Kevin Hearn, vice president for student affairs, offered brief remarks and commended those chosen for inclusion in the Random magazines.

In March, the Niagara University community nominated students who are making the most of their time on campus and working to improve the local community. Those highlighted in the publication received the highest vote totals and had the strongest biographies.

Random: The NU Magazine was created in 2000-01. After a brief hiatus, the full-color, glossy magazine resumed printing in 2011. The recent issue is the third "20 Most Intriguing Students on Campus" edition.
