Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens broke ground on its long-anticipated expansion and renovation project. The $31 million project will include much-needed visitor amenities to meet the demands of the community, further the organization's mission, and provide generational growth and stability. It is anticipated to be completed in early 2027.

Last Friday, for the first time in more than 20 years, the general public walked through the front doors of the historic Frontier House in Lewiston. The building's first-floor tenant, Fairbanks restaurant, hosted a soft opening for those who helped its proprietors, Daniel Hagen and Jake Strawser, craft their second restaurant. They also operate Billy Club in Buffalo.

Rosemary (nee Noonan) Dawdy of Youngstown passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at the age of 94. Rosemary was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Niagara Falls, to Kathleen (Tough) and Carl Noonan. Rosemary's early life was spent in Niagara Falls, and the family's summer home in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.
