St. Johnsburg and Adam's volunteer fire companies visited St. John Lutheran School recently to promote Fire Safety Month. Students were reminded of some key fire safety tips such as stop, drop and roll, practicing home fire drills, and to never hide when there is a fire.

On Wednesday, the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency approved an application for assistance submitted at its September board meeting by JSK International Corp., the company that is restoring the historic Hotel Niagara in Niagara Falls.
In other business, the NCIDA board of directors approved the agency's 2013 budget.

Our dear friend, Brian Pilarski, was recently diagnosed with an intestinal fistula. The past few months have been particularly difficult as Brian has been in and out of the hospital numerous times. He has had multiple complications, infections, surgeries, etc.
