The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the left lane of the LaSalle Expressway (state Route 951A) will be closed in both directions between Interstate 190 and Williams Road in the City of Niagara Falls from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, beginning Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5, to facilitate a resurfacing project.

Old Fort Niagara at 300: Public programs to mark anniversary on June 5-7

Three hundred years ago in June, French soldiers and tradesmen landed at the mouth of the Niagara River to establish Fort Niagara. Islander Terrence Crowe remembered at town's Memorial Day ceremony
