Recognizing the importance of learning more from the candidates running for Town of Lewiston supervisor - especially when it comes to plans for businesses in the community - the Upward Niagara Chamber of Commerce's government affairs committee will host its first Town of Lewiston supervisor open forum. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Lewiston No. 1 Fire Co., 145 N. Sixth St.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Buffalo District, completed a remedial investigation (RI) report and proposed plan (PP) for Niagara Falls Storage Site (NFSS) vicinity property H prime (VP-H'). A public comment period for the proposed plan will take place from Sept. 15 to Nov. 13, 2025. A public meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Town of Lewiston Senior Center at 4361 Lower River Road. A court reporter will be present to record public testimony.
