Carnegie Art Center is back, invites WNY to join in the arts

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Tonawandas' Council on the Arts Inc., the Carnegie Art Center Artist Advisory Committee and the City of North Tonawanda, the Carnegie Art Center will soon open its doors again to the Western New York community, after undergoing extensive renovations.

Lockport CARES Vice President Toby Mansfield was recently presented with a check for $380 from students of Phi Beta Lambda on the Amherst campus of Bryant and Stratton. Bryant and Stratton students collected the money last semester for the Lockport CARES emergency shelter on Genesee Street.

Ortt announces $500,000 for Niagara Falls Air Base

State Sen. Rob Ortt today announced $500,000 in state funding to establish an emergency management hub at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. Ortt secured the funds in the 2015-16 state budget (Empire State Development Corp., Aid to Localities, S. 2003-C) to help base retention efforts for NFARS.
