Nusantara Arts is thrilled to present "Ayo! Festival of Indonesian Gamelan music, Dance & Legend," Buffalo's first ever Indonesian arts festival. Empire State Wrestling will host live pro wrestling on Sunday, April 27, on the University at Buffalo's North Campus as part of the UB Student Association's "Bullsapalooza." On April 17, officers were involved in a high-speed vehicle pursuit. At the conclusion of the pursuit, as officers approached the vehicle, the vehicle began to drive toward the officers. One officer discharged their firearm, striking the driver of the vehicle. The driver was transported to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

High blood pressure, often called the "silent killer," affects half of adults (47%) in the U.S. and remains a leading risk factor for heart disease and stroke, according to the American Heart Association. To address this pressing health concern, the association launched the equity-focused hypertension initiative in Buffalo to improve heart health outcomes. The local effort is part of a nationwide effort.

The board of directors of the Buffalo City Mission announced the appointment of Marilyn Forcucci as interim CEO and executive director, effective April 23.
