The "Stranger Things" star and musical frontman was jovial, playfully bantering with fans, calling out sections of the crowd to make sure they felt included, and giving his fans a string of hit songs.

Village of Lewiston residents will have an opportunity to voice their opinions on the proposed plan for building No. 3 inside the Ellicott Development Co. plaza on Center, North Eighth and Onondaga streets. The Planning Commission scheduled a public hearing for its meeting on Monday, Aug. 10. This board gathers following the Historic Preservation Commission's 6 p.m. convening (tentatively 6:30 p.m.).

Mike DeDario is the new mayor in the Village of Youngstown. A former social studies teacher on Grand Island, DeDario had never run for public office before putting his hat in the ring for the mayor's office this year - though he did serve as commadore for the Youngstown Yacht Club during the COVID-19 pandemic and the flooding in 2019, which was a challenge as well.

The Niagara Pioneer Raptors won the boys under-13 division at the Niagara Pioneer International Soccer Tournament this past weekend. The Raptors defeated St. Catharines Roma Academy 3-2 in a thrilling championship game after defeating Amherst Sharks, Irondequoit SC, and Delaware Rangers in earlier matches.

One of the Village of Lewiston's most unique properties is now for sale. Gary Hall is selling the former DeChantal Hall at 435 N. Second St. The almost 15,000-square-feet property was recently used as the headquarters for Waste Technology Services, a non-asset-based waste and by-product management company. Northstar Recycling Company LLC announced its acquisition of WTS last fall.

Quinn Miller started collecting cans and bottles when he was 9 years old. As a Niagara County Tribune-Sentinel carrier, he would ask clients every week to leave cans and bottles outside of their homes for him to collect. It took him a year to gather the funds to donate his first check to Care-n-Share, a River Region nonprofit organization supported by Inter-Community Services

The Youngstown Business and Professional Association was incorporated in 1976. At that time, the YBPA president was Victor Szarejko, DDS. Originally, the purpose of YBPA was to be able to offer health insurance to various businesses in Youngstown. That job later went to the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce, but the YBPA continued on as an association serving the community.
