Niagara Metals plans grand finale

Niagara Metals' five-month-long "Customer and Community Appreciation Days" will finish up at noon on Saturday, June 4, with a grand prize drawing for a 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 Truck. This will follow a morning filled with drawings for cash prizes up to $500 and a free breakfast prepared by Alp's Catering. The festivities and breakfast will start at 8 a.m. at the scrap metal dealer's main location at 4861 Packard Road in Niagara Falls.

The Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce and the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency, along with various elected officials in Niagara County - including State Sen. George D. Maziarz - have submitted letters to Lt. Gov. Robert Duffy urging him to appoint Samuel M. Ferraro to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Western New York Regional Economic Development Council. Ferraro is commissioner of the Niagara County Department of Economic Development and executive director of the NCIDA.

Girasole, a principal with Brisbane Consulting Group in Buffalo, has been chosen to serve on the New York State Board of Real Estate Appraisal. This panel oversees the activities of all real estate appraisers across the state, setting policy, monitoring Department of State appraisal activities, reviewing licensing applications, and adjudicating complaints.
