Alice Cooper & Halestorm announce summer co-headline amphitheater tour

Rock icon Alice Cooper and Grammy-winning hard rock band Halestorm have announced a co-headline amphitheater tour across North America this summer. Produced by Live Nation, the 19-city tour will kick off July 17 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, at the PPL Center and make stops in Detroit, Chicago and Houston, before wrapping Aug. 16 in Camden, New Jersey, at the BB&T Pavilion.

The Hollywood Vampires - featuring Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp - announced spring 2019 tour dates. ABC dominates Sunday with 'American Idol' premiering as No. 1 show

With its lineup of "America's Funniest Viceos," the second season premiere of ABC's "American Idol," and "Shark Tank" ranking No. 1 in each half-hour of primetime, ABC won Sunday night by 75 percent over its nearest competition in adults 18-49 (1.4/6 vs. 0.8/3 - CBS and NBC tied). Excluding only the prior week's Oscars coverage, ABC hit Sunday season highs in viewers and young adults.

It was announced Thursday The board of directors and Jazz Festival staff will hold a fundraiser, "A Taste of Jazz," from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at the Brickyard Brewing Co., 436 Center St. The event will help offset some of the costs of producing the free, two-day outdoor music festival.

Arts Services Initiative of Western New York received a $10,000 grant, while Squeaky Wheel received $15,000, Burchfield-Penney Art Center received $30,000, and the Center for Exploratory and Perceptual Arts received $10,000.

The Buffalo Beauts were the hottest team in the NWHL, winning five straight games prior to the league's All-Star break in mid-February.
