Jastrzemski and Niagara County Treasurer Kyle Andrews, have teamed up with the Niagara USA Chamber to launch the "Niagara for 4" coalition in support of a referendum on this year's ballot that would increase terms for county legislators to four years.

To boost awareness of CPR, the American Heart Association and National Football League are unveiling the 2025 Nation of Lifesavers Player Ambassador Class on World Restart a Heart Day, which takes places annually on Oct. 16. The ambassador class is made up of 30 current NFL players who are dedicated to promoting this lifesaving skill. Included on that roster is the Buffalo Bills' own safety Damar Hamlin.

The Lewiston Artisan Farmers Market is gearing up for its annual move indoors for the fall and winter seasons. It will conclude its outdoor run this Saturday, with the special "Fall Festival" from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South Ninth and Cayuga streets side on Academy Park, before taking up residency at the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, 505 Cayuga St.
