Moose Tracks Ice Cream is bringing the "10,000 Scoop Challenge" to Buffalo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Lafayette Square, 415 Main St., Buffalo. Moose Tracks will partner with Hershey's Ice Cream to serve 10,000 scoops of free original Moose Tracks Ice Cream in a citywide ice cream social benefiting FeedMore WNY.

The Erie County Medical Examiner's Office received reports of seven overdose-related deaths over a six-hour period on Monday, June 17. Investigations and toxicology tests will confirm the drugs involved in these deaths, but preliminary reports indicate that each scene is suspected to have a form of cocaine (crack or powder) present.

A young man who grew up on a farm on Grand Island and who died in combat in France at the age of 22 was remembered Sunday at a ceremony held 80 years after his death. He was honored at the park named for him, DeGlopper Memorial Park, with a rifle salute and with a military helicopter flyover during the event.

William Boller to 12 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision. He was sentenced today as a second violent felony offender.
