DeGlopper Memorial Post, American Legion Post 1346 and Grand Island High School wind ensemble will honor the men and women who made the supreme sacrifice for this country while in military service. They are remembered each and every day and will be honored on Memorial Day.

Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper once again led the "Spring Sweep," the largest single-day cleanup across Western New York, on Saturday, April 26. The event was also part of the fifth annual Great Lakes Cleanup, a program developed and led by Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper that brings nearly 20 partner organizations across the Great Lakes basin together to clean up along the shores of the Great Lakes.

Residents in most Erie County municipalities are eligible for a subsidized "Composter Kit," which includes the Earth Machine compost bin, a rodent screen and compost turner for $30.

Senior Wishes grants meaningful wishes to individuals aged 65 and older who meet income qualifications or are permanent residents of a care facility. A medical diagnosis is not required.
