LaSalle: Residents invited to forum to discuss rat mitigation issue

New York Attorney General Letitia James and State Police Superintendent Steven G. James announced the conviction and sentencing of Nathaniel Wagner, 42, of Newfane, for operating a residential contracting fraud scheme in Niagara County.

Niagara County DA announces guilty verdict on 10 counts

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced a Niagara County jury returned a guilty verdict in the case against Time Thomas Jr., age 30, of Buffalo, Tuesday morning. Thomas was found guilty of all 10 counts in the indictment against him, including criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, and drug possession charges.

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced Quennel R. Jordan, age 40, of New Jersey, was sentenced to spend the next 15 years in prison for a series of crimes committed in Niagara Falls in 2021.

The Niagara Office for the Aging (OFA) today is warning seniors about a scam involving the county's home-delivered meal program. Someone purporting to be from the Niagara County Department of Health is calling and saying a person's home-delivered meals will be canceled if they do not immediately pay for their meals. The caller then attempts to get the senior's personal information.

Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski reminded residents the federal REAL ID requirements will go into effect in May 7, 2025, less than nine months away. That means you will need a REAL ID to board any domestic flights, enter a military base and access certain federal facilities.
