Earth, Wind & Fire (Tuesday) will kick-off a string of marquee performances at the Lewiston venue. The upcoming schedule includes The Flaming Lips (July 27), JoJo Siwa (July 28), Chris Isaak (July 30), Rick Springfield (Aug. 13), Paul Rodgers and Bad Company (Aug. 20), and Foreigner (Aug. 27).
Annual Porter Summerfest to benefit POTL

Next Saturday, July 20, the Town of Porter presents its annual Summerfest benefit inside the inviting Porter on the Lake Park, located off Dietz Road on the Lake Ontario shores. Porter Supervisor John "Duffy" Johnston and Town Board members are putting out the invite to residents in the area to stop by for a day of summer fun.

McLachlan was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame as part of the 2017 Junos - an awards show she hosted in 2019. She founded both the groundbreaking, all-women-led Lilith Fair Festival and the Sarah McLachlan School of Music in Vancouver.

A smaller but peppier Artpark crowd was treated to the most fun concert of the 2019 "Tuesdays in the Park" concert series this week. Sugar Ray, Better Than Ezra and Emerson Hart of Tonic had people on their feet, singing and dancing along to some of the 1990's biggest hits.

Though rains threatened to spoil the party, Artpark & Company's "Free Family Saturdays" kicked off in fine fashion over the weekend. In fact, children and parents dodged some drops and came out early to make slime, a colorful mask or play with an assortment of toys atop a sandy hill.

Old Fort Niagara anticipates welcoming about 500 reenactors and close to 10,000 visitors over the weekend of July 5-7 for the 40th anniversary of the French and Indian War Encampment. This annual event recreates highlights from the actual 19-day British siege of the French fort in July of 1759 through history tours, cannon firings, military music, sutlers, games, dancing, musket firings and living history camps of British, French and Native reenactors.

It was a big night of music Tuesday at Artpark, as the Lewiston venue presented a bill with Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy, John Lodge of The Moody Blues with guest vocalist Arthur Brown, Asia and YES. The "Royal Affair Tour" offered fast-paced set changes, but laid-back rock music, which led to a larger audience pop than in past weeks.
