Last Friday, for the first time in more than 20 years, the general public walked through the front doors of the historic Frontier House in Lewiston. The building's first-floor tenant, Fairbanks restaurant, hosted a soft opening for those who helped its proprietors, Daniel Hagen and Jake Strawser, craft their second restaurant. They also operate Billy Club in Buffalo.

You may have seen them planting colorful gardens on Center Street, the waterfront, the Peace Garden, Hennepin Park and the Red Brick School to name a few locations benefitting from members' hard work and green thumbs. They are easy to spot wearing navy blue T-shirts with "Beautification Volunteer" written across the back in white letters.

Artpark & Company teamed with musicians from the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on Wednesday for an intimate candlelight concert inside the Mainstage Theater. In fact, guests were fully immersed in the glow of candles when they sat with the musicians onstage as part of the up-close-and-personal concert.
