Golf tournament raises funds to support Intandem Foundation

Nearly 100 golfers gathered at the Niagara Frontier Golf Club on Monday for the annual Joe Cecconi Sr. Golf Tournament, raising vital funds to benefit the Intandem Foundation.
Niagara Area Foundation accepting grant applications through Oct. 3

The Niagara Area Foundation, a geographic division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations for its 2025 grant cycle. S&P Global raises City of Niagara Falls bond rating

Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino announced S&P Global raised Niagara Falls' bond rating from BBB+ to A. The global ratings agency also reported the city's financial outlook is "positive." An A bond rating signifies the bond issuer has a strong capacity to meet its financial obligations.
Lewiston Service Guild supports Lew-Port seniors

Two Lewiston-Porter High School senior students were each presented with a $1,000 scholarship by the Lewiston Service Guild earlier this year. The scholarship recipients are Dominic Tracy of Youngstown, who is pursuing a degree in biochemistry at the University of Florida; and Rayhaan Shaikh of Lewiston, who is majoring in biology on the pre-med track at Niagara University.

The Presbytery of Western New York Presbyterian Church (USA) has announced the ordination of Carolyn "Carly" Beard to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament. The formal ordination service will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Old Stone Church at First Presbyterian Church, 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston. A fellowship celebration will follow at the church.
