Mount St. Mary's Hospital (MSMH) announced its Center for Sports Medicine & Physical Rehabilitation, now located at 1 Columba Drive No. 5 in Niagara Falls, will be moving on Jan. 15. The new department will relocate to the campus of Mount St. Mary's Hospital, 5300 Military Road, Lewiston, with the services located at the hospital's north lobby entrance.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center announced the birth of Niagara County's first baby of 2024. Newborn Ella Jane Williams arrived at 12:56 p.m. Jan. 2, measuring 19 inches and weighing 6 lbs. 11 oz. The healthy baby is the daughter of Lindsey Tompkins and Ricky Williams of Niagara Falls.

On Saturday, Jan. 13, Old Fort Niagara will present a special winter adventure called "Jolicoeur's Journey," an interactive living history program based on the memoirs of Jolicoeur Charles Bonin. The young soldier trekked from Quebec to Fort Niagara in the winter of 1754.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has announced a "significant" donation from Scott Bieler, president and CEO of West Herr Auto Group, for the renovation of its auditorium into the Scott Bieler Family Foundation Innovation & Training Center. The Niagara County Office for the Aging (OFA) announced it has launched a new pilot program, in conjunction with Sunrise Café in Gasport, to offer senior citizens an affordable, quality lunch. Seniors can purchase a reduced-price voucher for a full lunch, and OFA funds will cover the difference with the restaurant.
