Halloween came early to Lewiston, with family-fun activities and events happening over the weekend.
Things kicked off Saturday morning with the partnering of First Presbyterian Church and the Lewiston Artisan Farmers Market. Inside the building, at 505 Cayuga St., the winter bazaar season began with an assortment of produce, baked goods and unique merchandise. Outside in the parking lot, trunk-or-treat paired costumed kids with creative car trunks – all in the name of candy (and cool selfies).
Festivities moved north on Sunday, as the Lewiston Business Group presented its annual “Trick-or-Treat on Center Street.” The roadway was closed from Seventh to Fourth streets to accommodate kiddos visiting merchants, watching performances from local dance schools, and interacting with game first responders.
As part of the presentation, DiMino’s Lewiston Tops offered goodie bags in its new seasonal display room; and the Village of Lewiston Recreation Department once again offered creatively decorated haunted theme areas inside and outside of the Red Brick Municipal Building, plus music and more photo ops.
