Picture-perfect weather greeted myriad visitors to the Lewiston Garden Club’s annual GardenFest over the weekend. Approximately 70 vendors were spread across both sides of Center Street, selling flowers, plants and handcrafted essentials. Event highlights included speakers, a container garden contest, open gardens, and the debut of the Lewiston Council on the Arts "Lewiston Porchfest Unplugged," which provided live music on a half-dozen village porches.
Prior to the Lewiston GardenFest, chair Mary Ann Yates said, “Lewiston GardenFest brings together gardeners of varying skill levels and visitors alike to share ideas and special finds for your outdoor space. This annual event not only highlights our community’s love of gardening, it’s also a major fundraiser for Lewiston Garden Club, with proceeds going right back into local beautification efforts and youth scholarships.”
